WHAT WE OFFER
Our team is ready to help with research in the highest levels of the forest. We have 20 years of experience gained directly in our forest and adjacent areas
TRCR is a non-profit organization founded to research and protect the primary rainforest in the southern Caribbean region of Costa Rica.
Our team is ready to help with research in the highest levels of the forest. We have 20 years of experience gained directly in our forest and adjacent areas. The project is mainly focused on the highest floors of the rainforest, the so-called Canopy. We have gained many years of experience in climbing to the highest levels of the rainforest directly in our forests and adjacent areas. We also have many years of experience with the installation of observation platforms in the highest places and in thousand-year-old trees.
Of course, the possibilities for research and other activities and projects are indescribable. From photographing insects, snakes, birds, installing photo traps and collecting data, as well as long-term monitoring of photo traps.
Research on climate change in a given area, the possibility of installing and monitoring the climate from the highest point in the entire area. Research on the impact of deforestation and human activities in close proximity to the reserve and directly in it. The impact on the fauna and flora of the surrounding human activities.
Movement of species into the area due to nearby human activities. Gandoka - Manzanillo is a unique area on the right for its location where on one side is the foothills of the Talamanka mountains and the adjoining banana plantations and on the other side the coast where there is a lot of human activity. In close proximity are marshy areas where these three different ecosystems and the nearby human presence will bring a large amount of life and species to the reserve.
We focus on supporting biodiversity research, the discovery of new species, the expansion of forests for protection and research in the given area.
